For those who haven’t read The Silvergrey Sea, some context is needed to understand the tale below.

At the beginning of that novel, Harry Tranker has no living relatives. As a result of something that happens to him, six weeks later he is the father of an adult female, who names herself Toiliúil[1]. Harry can’t pronounce it, so he calls her Toi.

Though less than three months old at the time of this story, she has the mind and body of a woman in her mid-twenties. She is also an embodiment of the Alchemical Element Fyre and, as such, is countless thousands of years old.

Needless to say, both Harry and Toi are new to their relationship and unsure how to proceed. They feel an intense love for each other; one that threatens to spill over boundaries of the familial. The resolution these feelings is the point of the story to follow. I wrote it because I needed the closure.

Yes, most of the time, I need to know what happens next, too. That’s why I do this.

I felt this needs to be shared, so I present it for your enjoyment.
